These are some illustrations I produced for a magazine which will hopefully be printed and published by the end of the year. I was given an article and asked to come up with an illustration to run alongside it. The article was based around a woman who doesn't feel the need to be in a relationship and to be married. In one section of the article she mentions how she and this so called fella would be in tesco fighting over which pop tarts to buy. So I decided to take this idea and use pop tarts to represent them as a couple. Strawberry being the female blueberry the male. I hand drew the pop tart boxes and then added colour and type using illustrator. I also hand drew the majority of the type, another side of design I have become quite passionate about, hand rendering type adds a more personal touch I think.
I really enjoyed creating a design and was very grateful to be asked, I would love to do more work along the lines of this.
